Live Streaming Funerals in Rockhampton
We are a family-owned business providing complete in-house funeral services with 24-hour availability.
Attending From a Distance
When family or friends are unable to attend a funeral in person, live streaming offers a way to view the service remotely. Finlayson & McKenzie Funeral Directors in Rockhampton offer live streaming funeral as an optional arrangement, allowing a service to be viewed online in real time via a secure internet connection. This option can be requested for services held at our chapel or other suitable venues, subject to technical requirements.
A private viewing link is provided to the family, who can then share it with those they wish to include. This allows people to attend the service virtually from another location.

How Funeral Live Streaming Works
Live streaming involves setting up audio and visual equipment at the service location and broadcasting the ceremony online using a private link. Access to the stream is controlled by the family, and the service is not publicly available unless specifically requested.
Advance notice is required to arrange live streaming. This allows time to confirm venue suitability, check internet connectivity and set up the required equipment before the service takes place. Live streaming funeral arrangements are coordinated alongside funeral planning, so timing and expectations are clear.

FAQ
Who can watch the live stream?
The live stream can be viewed by anyone who receives the private viewing link shared by the family. This allows relatives, friends or community members to attend remotely from different locations. There is no public access unless the family specifically requests it, and the link can be shared as widely or as narrowly as the family chooses. Viewers can usually watch the service on a computer, tablet or mobile device with an internet connection.
Is the funeral service recorded as well as streamed?
Recording a service is an option for some families, but it is not automatic. Some families request live streaming only, while others ask for the service to be recorded so it can be viewed later by those who were unable to watch in real time. Whether recording is available depends on the arrangements requested and technical considerations, which are discussed during planning.
What is required for live streaming to be available?
Live streaming requires a suitable venue, reliable internet access and time to set up audio and visual equipment. Not all locations are able to support live streaming, particularly outdoor venues or locations with limited connectivity. These requirements are usually checked in advance so families understand whether live streaming can be provided at their chosen venue.
